Alright, time for some brutal criticism. This is still in its early stages, so whatever needs to be fixed needs to be fixed now.

Intro/first passage is way too long, 3:16 to get to something interesting is going to lose a lot of listener interest.
Snare sounds weird as does the kick drum. It's like they're both all attack and no "meat". The snare needs more crackle and body, the kick needs more bass and boominess. At least in my speakers.
The guitar tone could be more interesting, but that might be the genre. Sounds a little prog-ish, which I'm not really familiar with.

thanks dude, what do you think i could do about the kick and snare? when i give the kick more 80hz and under, speakers and take it. and i've been struggling with the snare for a while, not really sure how to make it crack like i want it to.
also, i forgot to mention, this is an early mix- i haven't even started mixing the vocals, that's why it might sound a little boring at times. i'm looking for mix criticism, anyway. the composition is the composition, i'm just the engineer.
