the mix is at soundcloud.com/timmybanana. i have 2 files uploaded; one rendered as a wav and one as an mp3. i like it but it seems unnecessarily noisy, and the focus seems to drift. i mic'ed the toms wrong so they are blown out. without re-mic'ing, or using too much level/fx autmation, what can i do to clear up the mix? i am noy opposed to starting over from each raw track (6 or 7 total)

you could use some sort of drum replacement and sample your toms, then trigger them via midi
 
i thought about that, but it's not my band.. if i can't change it in post, then fock it. looking more for phase/eq/compression tips. I boosted relative frequencies and basically dropped the rest of the spectrum, for each track/instrument, and kept some bass from the room mic.
