It sounds like you're going for an updated Judas Priest kind of sound?

Are all the rhythm instruments in sync? It sounds to me kind of like they're having trouble keeping time with each other. It's especially pronounced at the bass break at 4:00

Your vocal technique sounds good. You're singing with confidence and power (proper support and all). It could stand to be much higher though! You just don't have the proper "banshee wail" going on here! :D
 
Really great playing. Lots of energy. Good singing. Vocal tone is real good.

I'd bring up the vocal a db or two. Or better, bring down the guitars. The guitars are dominating the mix to a certain extent.

Guitars are missing energy above 3-4K or so. They sound a little muffled. There was a bit too much gain for my tastes - but that's more a personal preference.

Drums are a little far back in the mix and not a lot of shimmer. They're getting covered by the guitars. Maybe just raise the level of the cymbals. But I'll never "get" speed metal drums. Just me a guess.

updated the mix
- improved overall stereo image of the drums (raised and panned and eq'd the cymbals differently)
- uncompressed snare a bit to give it more bite, lessened reverb on kick
- added reverb to both guitars, they sounded a bit flat
- boosted a different area of the bass guitar to clean up overall sound
- cut some low end out of the entire mix to lessen the mud

please give another listen if you can. appreciate any feedback I get!

I'm actually the drummer of the band but yes, our vocalist is pretty darn amazing.
As for the timing issue. A few things to note. This band isn't active anymore, but I am mixing our songs to get practice and to be proud of what we did as a band... The timing thing can't be fixed now since we don't all play together anymore... long story.

Anyhow, I cleaned up the mix quite a bit and would like to hear your thoughts now
