Been trying to get the right amount of low end and high end, etc. I think the mix came out generally ok so far.

I would love any comments though. :)

First comment, whoa, that's a big mp3! Back in a few...

The first guitar is not hitting the delay tempo very strong. The intro vocal sounds slightly talkie rather than musical. Where the palm muted guitars come in the timing against the delayed guitar is not working out. I'm not a fan of the drum sounds, the kick sounds like cardboard.
The vocal has spots where it sort of drops the vibe if that makes sense, like the singer is not feeling it.

Ambitious production in all, some things could be better but mixwise I would declick the kick a bit and turn it up and work on getting the vocal to sit better in the mix. Retrack a couple things if you have the option.
In terms of importance the performance=85%, tracking technique=10% mix=5%.

Hey wait a minute...
Rock/Alternative guitar isn't supposed to have balls like that.
MP3 + shitty speakers, but I still like the distorted guitar.
How/with what was it tracked?

I could never in a million years pick out the stuff Jake did, but after reading and listening again, I can hear what he's talking about.
Yea, another "what he said" from cellardweller...

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm not sure sure why I labeled it alternative. I guess because I don't know what else to call it.

I know the delay guitar is a little off and I need to redo it, just haven't had the time yet. The vocals in the beginning are supposed to be a bit talky. Also, I'm not a very good vocalist, so these things are difficult for me :(. Every time I outwardly try to sing with "feeling" I sound like a retarded 4 year old who just got a My First Sony. Something I definitely need to work on.

You're probably right about the kick, though I kind of like it. It's probably the best kick sample I have. All the other ones get lost so easily. But I'll play around with the click a bit, it does sound a little weird. But then again, the whole kit sounds a little weird because it's not real, and I don't have the option of getting a real one.

The guitars are actually all recorded direct into the Mbox, then processed with Amplitube, as I live in a small apartment and can't turn up an amp loud enough to get a good sound. But they sound fairly decent I guess. Ballsy enough in the intro at least :)

Anyways, thanks for taking a listen and for the comments.
