Robbed an old lady's purse

Kidding! So anyway, $300.00 just fell into my lap. Any one who has seem my pathetic posts knows I don't have shit for gear. I want to get something to improve upon what I do have. I don't want to buy a mic right now, but what should I get? I looked at the Yamaha mg10. What do you think?



I just thought about it, and I don't think I should get a mixer because I only record one instrument at a time... How about an effects processor? I don't know, I feel like a kid at Christmas

1. buy your wife a nice dinner with roses . works for me ! cost 60 bucks.
with the 240 bucks left over...
2. yup get a yamaha mg mixer for 90 bucks. leaves 150 bucks.
(no i wont mention ptpa. up to you.)....maybe demo a digitech guitar peddle with some amp simulations in. rp50 i think it is. some people think they are not too bad. that leaves about 90 bucks. spend 10 bucks on some lottery tickets. you never know ! that leaves 80 bucks....

Hi, Manning! how did the shopping spree go? I am going to take your advise on all except the dinner for the wife. I will cook for her instead, because she appreciates that more! And I don't buy her flowers because, in her words "flowers die, why not just give me the money?", and in this case, the money came from her (she has a good job, too!). I will test out the mg, and probably buy it. I keep bouncing back and forth on it. It will improve my sound quality, right? That's what I am after. Did you get a chance to look at my songs? I really value your input, so please check them out when you can. I've only had one person respond to my post so far, and dozens have looked. I don't know how to take that. Makes me feel as though the music isn't worth the time to comment... lol! Have a great day, I am off to the music store to spend, spend, spend!!!!

my wife loved the spree.
my wife retires soon at a very young age...so we will be out of the rat race.
problem is i keep on getting offered high money in the good ole usa,
but ive just designed too many computer systems in my life....from mainframes on down to stupid baby stuff which is why my wife gets a laugh when people on here accuse me of working for a certtain music software vendor. you can always use a mixer. particularly if you dont have one.
you really should get one. then do what i did years ago. i got fed up buying big studio consoles so i started building my own diy mic pre's as i have an electronics background. but really now with the price/quality of the mg not worth making your own. learn about op amps. thats what go into mixers.
i tried seceral times to reach your songs but keep on getting a darn server error with my isp. but will continue trying.

I opted to wait a few days and go into the studio they have at the music store and play with it before I buy the mg. I just want to see what it does. I did pick up a Zoom 405II for acoustic guitar that has a pretty good 12 string emulator on it. And a new adaptor for my mr8. My wife loved dinner, and even asked why I was doing it. I told I just had the urge!
Gotta run. Things left to do before bedtime....
