I just finished interviwing Mark & Beth McQuilken for TapeOp. I've seen the RNMP prototypes and the drawings/layouts of what look to be the finished version (version 6, for those who care).
2 channels; same physical size as the RNC; preliminary testers have been blown away with the quality. Pricepoint at less than you'd believe. 25 units have been ordered for beta testing.
That said, if they don't work out or need further tweeking or anything else, it'll get pushed back (pushed back from what? I don't know, he wouldn't say).
Another possibility: if he doesn't like it it won't come out at all.
That's all I am telling for now.
