RNC vs. HHB Fatman

HI-just got my RNC and did a few vocals-wow!-it has some balls are something.
The Fatman was promising-not bad for electric guitar-but for vox-just couldt get any excitement-even tho its got a "TUBE"...
my vocal mics are Rode Classisc 2 or an AKG C3000.
the Rode really came alive with the RNC.

Now this is just me at home-not an engineer-but I am a writer/session dude-Ive heard & played thru Avalons & Manleys etc.

Has anybody used these two?-can you compare?

RNC is a good all rounder where the Fatman is more for when you want its particular "color". If I could only have one (which thakfully ain't the case) it would be the RNC. I do have both by the way.
