RNC and RNP

I got both of them, just yesterday.


I heard that you can connect them. I am wondering how?
If anyone know, i would apreciate it.


Also, how should i set up my preamp and compressor.

I am using it for vocals only.

I am recording Hip Hop.


And if back vocals, should be differently compressed from original vocals.

Take a look at the instructions.
Mics go into RNP, use the RNC on the inserts on the back of the RNP.
You will need 2 TRS patch cords to do this.
Out of the RNP's two insert outputs to the two inputs/outputs on the RNC.
Then two TRS patch cords from the RNP to whatever type of connector you need for the line in on your mixer/daw etc.
As for settings, start with the recommended ones in the RNC manual and play around with it.

generally speaking you will want to compress the back vocals more heavily than the lead vocals. having said that, you only compress when you need to.
