I am planning on buying an RME Multiface with PCI card for recording. I had been planning on buying one new. However, if I could get one for a couple hundred dollars cheaper by getting it used, is it worth it? I don't know much about the used soundcard market and warranty issues and such, so I was just wondering what people thought. Thanks.

Personally I don't mind buying used audio interfaces. In fact, I've done that a few times in the past.
They don't have any moving parts so there isn't really anything that can break down. As long as it works the moment it arrives, they usually last.
One thing to check though: the connectors. If they're abused by the previous owner, you'd better steer away but from my own experience it's mostly the consumer cards with 1/8'' jacks that are vunerable there.
