I',ve just starting in recording and I have an option on a DIGI96 soundcard. Anybody know if this is any good for recording and would it work with a regular PC (Jetway 530 BF motherboard, AMD K2-400 processor)
Oh yeah, and how much would a new one be?

cheers

Maston,
The pre Athlon AMD computers lacked the fixed point math calculations needed for audio processing. I suggest you use your K2 for family internet activity and get a new Athlon around 800mhz (lower cost than the top speed models)with at least 128MB SDRAM, an ASUS mobo, and just use this for audio recording. Or, for a little more money, get a P111 with ASUS CSUL mobo. This is a proven combination for audio.

Chuck is right, if you can get an Asus mobo. RME recommends Asus mobos.
