Man,

I just found out myself. So sad...R.I.P. C. You just got out of jail not too long ago.

Man, I grew up on UGK back when I wasn't allowed to listen to rap but snuck it in the house anyway. I listened to stuff like Geto Boys too (living in Texas at the time who didn't?), but I liked UGK much better. I dunno about ya'll but I know I still have my "Free Pimp C" shirt somewhere in the house. The minute I find it, I'll hang it up on my studio wall in his memory.

Looks like heaven needed a little bit of trill up there. All I can honestly be thankful for is that there was no shooting or foul play involved (at least not as of yet).

Man the group is gone....so quick. You can't replace C.

Fiev.

P.S. GJ if you wanna do a tribute song, I'm down. I had originally thought of sampling back down memory lane as a different song on a later album, but I can do it here instead. Just need time to write a verse and probably make a beat.

yea Fieve - im wit it!!! just let me know when u got the beat ready . . . we need a good tribute song anyway - ! aint NOBODY really did one in a long time . . . where is hip hop's heart at anyway!?

The heart got covered up with the sugar coated mainstream ish...

Soul B, you had talked about doing a beat too so you make one and I'll make one and we'll go with whichever one hits harder if you're still down.

I think you meant Spice1 & Mc Eiht use to blow big kill together. The Murda Show was a sick ass joint. Never heard of Eiht and pimp c ever doing any kind of work together lol. Spice1 & 2pac always seemed like a sick tandem whenever they got together just go listen to jealous gots me strapped. Now on to pimp c and bun b some pple might dis-agree but i loved that super tight album better than anything they dropped. Just go listen to that stone cold junkie joint and you'll know what i mean. For the pple who miss pimp c you cats should check out a dude by. the name of pimpsta also r.i.p. to him. Dude had a few albums that sounded like that old super tight album and what not. Just go listen to dickes & house shoes and some other shit of his.

I'd like to contribute to this project in any way I can. I'll put together a track sampled from "Back Down Memory Lane", and my fam. on here that spit, (you know who ya'll are) can bless the track in honor of "PIMP". if that's cool with ya'll i'll get started tomorrow (WED). i've been needing some new inspiration, and in spite of the sad news, i feel we can make the heart of hip-hop beat a little stronger with this one.... that's all folks:(

Do it Celly!!!

Make the beat and I'll fine tune my verse to it. That's if the power doesn't go out here in Smoklahoma. My place is one of the few places that didn't blackout.

yez zir !! i'll start on it first thing in the morning. i hear ya bout those black-outs.. we get hit hard every year in the mid-west.. it's been raining alot here and we've had a couple small ice storms but nothing major yet.. keeping my fingers crossed though:o

we doing one, but not necessary for pimp, but more as a message "2 much syrup in my cup".... wakeup call for the south.

yea mind - thats what i had in mind - a tribute (of sorts) just to make people think about what really goes down . . . n how we end up losin folk over what people thinkn is "no big deal" . .

im anxious as hell to jump on that memory lane beat . . .
