Okay, so I'm brand spankin' new here...this is my first post. I am having a great time putting what's been playing in my head for years into tangible form, as I am sure you can relate. However, I've been lookin' all over the archives for an answer to my question...I can't find it anywhere. So... my weakest area in composition is drums. I've been using preset "styles" off of my Yamaha PSR. Am I a fraud for doing this? Will I be able to register my songs as being truly "mine" later if I like them? Please Help?! Thanks

It would depend if your are registering the song or the recording (its 2 different forms).....

if you are registering the song, basically its the lyrics and music/melody you are registering, not the drumbeat, so it wouldnt be a problem there.....

if you are registering the recording, you should always use "royalty free" sources.....i would think the PSR beats would be included but then again i would hope you arent registering a recording that has a PSR drumbeat......
