Rigid fiberglass FAQ's and question.
Don't know if this has been posted before or not but it sure enlightened me.

Like everyone, I've been searching for a supplier who carries OC 703 (or 705) in the Fort Worth area. However, I came across a supplier who carries the Johns-Manville 800 Series Spin-Glas. This is supposed to be the JM equivalent of the OC 700 Series.
The specs of the JM vs. OC follows:
JM 814 plain 2"
125-0.24
250-1.00
500-1.11
1000-1.08
2000-1.06
4000-1.05
NRC-1.05
OC 703 plain 2"
125-0.17
250-0.86
500-1.14
1000-1.07
2000-1.02
4000-0.98
NRC-1.00
My room is 14'x16'x9' (ceiling). The walls are painted sheetrock, the ceiling is sheetrock with a popcorn surface (blown-on) and the floors are terra cotta tile. The room has frequencies bouncing all over it.
I want to make panels to hang on the walls/ceiling for some absorption/reflection control.
Will the JM product be just as good as the OC?
Thanks,
Earl
On edit:
The supplier is: http://www.eowood.com/ for you in the North Texas area. The site seems to have some broken links but you can get an idea of what they carry.
