Hi,

i'm just starting recording at home, and i have put up a set up to record at home for not to much money but with reasonable result, my configuriation would be:

A Shure Sm57 for guitar/bass & a Shure Sm58 for the vocals and a Drum mic set, run through a Multimix 8 Usb 2.0 Digital mixer with preamp, and that plugged into my computer, and for software Mixcraft or Audacity.

is this a useable configuration or not? Youre help would be appreciated!

That sounds better than what I started with. Be advised though, there will always be something more or better you will want or need.
