Riddle: Pick for Me, One of Three

Ok so I have learned a bit more about recording, I will be recording an electric guitar, bass, vox, drumset, and keyboard so It would be best for my sound card to be able to take in these 5 signals to be recorded simultaneously but on seperate tracks within my software... i will probably need a mixer of some sort to combine the drum mics into one signal. if i get a 4 input card like the delta44 then i would probably just combine the bass guitar and the keyboard to an input and have everything else seperate for effects and editing..

i am still unsure as to whether or not i shoudl have 24/192, 64/192, 24/96 or what... so if you guys could explain that to me that would be great, here are the three cards i am looking at

MAudio Delta 44 24/96

MAudio Audiophile 64/192

Emu 1212m 24/192

which of these would suit me best? I just want to record several instruments simultaneously while having them record to seperate tracks within my software (Ill probably end up getting a mixer for the drums and maybe combining 2 other instruments like I said, if I get the delta 44 which only has 4 inputs.)

whatchooguys think?

If you really want better control over you mixes, you should reconsider submixing the drums. If you do that, you're gonna be stuck with it, and eq will only help so much. I personally use 7 tracks just for drums (kick, snare, tom 1, tom 2, tom 3, oh left, oh right).

yes, I agree, track your drums separately... at the very least try to get 4 inputs... track the drums, then track the other instruments all at once if you want. in fact, you can all play with the drummer while he's recording his part, then go back and record your parts separately. it will sound much better and it will be easier to edit. now just personally, I would go with MAudio Delta 44 24/96 for this out of those three, but I have heard a lot on these boards about the Emu... so do a search and learn some more.
