Hello,
I was working on some mixdowns this weekend, and I was using the FX send routed through my computer (via a new M-Audion MobilePre) to add some live FX. This worked suprisingly well - no signal delay or anything. However I was getting quite a bit of Radio Interference in the FX loop - I think ,ostly in the send cable.
Anyway, am I right in thinking that the FX send jack on the mkii are unbalanced? If so, that sucks, cuz using balanced TRS cables would seem to be the easy fix. So, assuming that is correct, what other things can I do to reduce the intereference? Will shorter cables make a noticable difference? I tried physically moving the cables around and that helped a bit, but not as much as I would like. Hmm..maybe unplugging the computer during the mixdown (it's a laptop)? Didn't try that... Other ideas?
