Do what I did. Cancelled my VIP membership at Soundclick and started my own website. I'm an internet idiot and I managed to put mine together in about an hour. It's free for a month. And, no, I don't work for them. CHECK IT OUT

I am listening to 'No Time.'

Nice lyrics and vocals.

Is that a dobro and a mandolin? They sound great!!

Bongos?

The mix sounds good to me.

'Love Long Gone' needs work on the mix, especially on the cymbals. :)

'Siren Song'...once again the cymbals need work in recording. They are harsh. Someone will be along to tell ya how to fix that. :) You do some very nice lead work on the guitar. Like your tone.

'Memories'
is a nice song...more of a slow, hillbilly rock than electronica, I would think though. Once again, I like your axework. The mandolin is great!!!
The vocals are a bit out there in parts and sorta made me jump. I was all mellow and you suddenly jumped out!!! :D

Thanks for the comments-

Actually an Alvarez acoustic tuned to G for the slide parts-standard tuned for rythmn and lead fills and mandolin

Bongos?

Conga drums are Roland 505 drum machine

The mix sounds good to me. Thank you very much :)

I was going to just submit that excerpt as a lead guitar sample to someone's post-and I agree, I did awful on the cymbal crashes-I only liked it for the way the guitar feeds back and squeals in a nice harmony

Cymbal crashes are my downfall, I must learn to use them more conservatively and effectively :( The guitar is one I've dubbed my Frankenstrat, pieced together from several "victims"-through a 15 watt Peavey Classic 20 tube amp-no effects

I was going for a slow-sort of hypnotic feel on that one, an electric guitar with tremolo on the first chord of the progression gave it a nice driving throb. Just the feel of the song, the good thing you had is now over and reality kicks in...thought a little scream was appropriate. :D

All of these are from 5 to 10 years back too, so I might consider a bit of reworking them with new technology so available now.

:D Yeah....reality did kick in!!

At first I thought you were using a slide on a geetar, but the rich sound, that seems to come from a sound hole of a resonator/dobro threw me off!!! :D

The "congas" do sound like bongos though.

Were the cymbals off of the drum machine too, and if so, how does one have any control over the sound of them? I have never hands-on used a machine myself, so know nothing about their use....there is one on one of my tunes though.

That is a nice sounding Frankenstrat!! :D

I think they are all worth reworking in the areas 'if' needed.

I just noticed that your a year older than I, and headed for the 100 mark this year! :D

True :)

True

Well as I get older I feel more like a Monet painting-best viewed from a distance and slightly out of focus :D
