After much consideration, I've revised my floor plan. Instead of going with the "corner control room" layout, which would require the building of a small addition for the furnace & bathroom, not to mention a LOT of glass (very expensive) I've done this:
A "Side by Side" layout with a larger control room, and a VERY large live room, compared to what I had planned before, anyway. I've also moved the Bathroom & furnace inside, and cut down on the required windows & doors.... saving a bundle in the process.
The only thing about the control room is an apparent lack of symmetry with the side walls. One side bieng a window, the other, a slot resonator wall.
The solution I've come up with will be a pair of "slot resonator" shutters that will fit over the window while I'm in mix mode... giving the room a "glass free" feature for serious mixdowns. (Hey, If you think this is a crazy idea, let me know!)
Anyway, the drawing is still not completely finished, (notably no bathroom door!) but the basic pieces are there. Let me know what you guys think!
Cheers,
