In all honesty I'm not feelin it....... But, then again, I've never been a huge Jay Z Fan.

--Re-Lapse

PS- Nappy Roots - Keep It Real, on that site, is damn fly though. :)

I thought it was a "Thinker".......One of those songs that make you think, why did he make a cut like this? The lyrics does not stand out as being tight. The beat is different, simple, but a head nodder!
Jay is notorious for having a little gimmick, or should I say, a hidden message in his music. I just haven't found this one out yet, that is why I said a "Thinker".

ive never understood the jay-z hype and this song certainly didn't change anything. I think reasonable doubt blows everything else he's ever made out of the water

I'm all for thought provoking lyrics. That simple stuff has it's time and place too. I haven't heard it yet, at work, but i've heard from several friends that it's a dope song.

Not over the top... not the same as his other flows...

I'm pretty sure he's trying to re-invent himself...

And he's only half way there...

I'm definitely down with Reasonable Doubt... and this is very dissimilar..

Not my final answer, but he doesn't sound too into it...

p.s. and pharell is the one who REALLY needs reinventing...

I hear ya!
That's how I feel about 50 cent..........But personally, I will cop a Jay Z album in a heartbeat before I cop 50's joint! Even a Jay, who's trying to re-invent himself. But I think the, "I'm retired", "I'm back", "Yo B", "It's ya boy", "Ummm", "Hov" best days are behind him. But them dollars are still stacking up! RESPECT!

I do think that the album won't follow the lead of this track...

TBD...

On the otherside of that track though...

that American Gangster flick with Denzel looks to be bannanas. looking forward to that.

I think the thing wit Jay-Z at least for me its like he's almost overconsistent...... like this joint aint really better or worse then most of his old stuff.... Minus Reasonable Doubt buts that in a league of its own... but I do like this joint It dont really sound like a "thinker" to me it sound more like he tryin to go back to that dope boy type of style which I dont kno if its such a good move but hey

U might as well call rapping a hobby for Jay-Z. He don't even need the money anymore! That cat is into so much stuff man. He makin alot of dough!!!!:D I still haven't heard that song!

I heard the song. Wasn't feelin it. Jay had a few hot lines but his flow wasn't on point. What was Pharell doin wit the beat? LOL.

Ask me if I'm tryna' kick knowledge
