Revert to waves 5.9.7 from 8.

Hello all,

I own and use Waves 5.9.7 on osx 10.6.8 with Pro tools 9.0.5.

I recently downloaded the Waves 8 demo as I'm planning to upgrade.

V8 overwrites older versions as you'd expect, but now that the demo has run out, I can't get V5.9.7 to work again.

I can see it load on the Pro Tools splash screen, and i have access to a few plugs (tune lite and l3) but that's it.

I've reinstalled the waves 5.9.7 package, and have removed all traces of V8.

I've trashed the PT preferences too. Does anyone know a trick to get these original plugs working again?

Original waveshells only are present in my digidesign plugins folder.

Lather, rinse, repeat is usually a windows method to get installs to work.

Funny I was thinking the same thing.
I was close to just turning it off and on again!
