Im an ex-spurt
OK...so I'm a boob. I bought this guitar for my son and we can't figure out how to restring it. I've been playing for 25 years but never owned one with a tremolo. I googled it and found a few comments about clipping the ball ends but I'm stuck on how to get the damn strings out in the first place! Now, I think I screwed up the action as well... :(
great....
Now...I've already admitted to bein a boob, but I'm a boob in need of some help please....
Any thoughts?

Much appreciated........

would a pic or two help? Not the greatest shots but........

You need an allen wrench for those little pokey bits that are sticking out below the fine tuners. Turn those, and they release the tension on those square blocks that are holding the strings in.

D'OH!

It's confirmed...I'm a boob.

Thanks Purge.... :D

Don't remove all the strings at once, unless you are prepared to set it up again. change the strings from the outside in, e, e, b, a, g, d, just as you would tune them everytime you go to tune, and tune each string up to pitch and break it in (pull on it and retune) before changing the next. I don't know if you knew that already or not, but I thought it would be helpful.
