Hi All: I recorded these tonight using a Michael Joly Oktava modified MK 219 LD mic on vocals/harp and an oktava 012 on the cymbal. The other 2 are AKG C414's on the snare and guitar amp. They sound better than the high dollar AKG's to my ears. He really does some magic on mics! Walter

Hi Walter,

I liked that; sitting here nodding my head and enjoying the lyrics. Gut-bucket blues with a message and to hell with rhyming everything.
Blind Lemon Jefferson would like this.

Soundwise, you seem fine with your acoustical divisions, it was dry and clean as I heard it here.

Keep on. I came home, checked in on home recording, and got to hear you. Very nice.

Mics sound great.

I had heard about Michael Joly Oktava mod and neraly considered it over the Fathead that I eventually bought. Also big fan of the cheaper AKG - been recording with their Chinese 'constructed' one for a while and think they (to my ear) are fantastic.

Irony is they are always on sale here in HK, as the last thing any self respecting Honkonese would do is buy something from the mainland!

Great harp playing you really create an atmosphere with the tones you extract - no wonder you won the competition. Your voice sounds great.

thanks for checking out the songs guys! It keeps me inspired to keep playing. Michael does great work. He does a mod on the fathead that won him an award. Walter
