Howdy, this is my first post in a while so sorry if I make any fatal errors.
I recently got the Orange Crush Pix 50 watt bass amp 1X12 (Solid State). I love the way it looks, and... uh, I guess it sounds alright. :/ I'd like to get a deeper sound out of it and make it sound more like a vintage tube amp (who doesn't). Would a speaker replacement be the right way to go about it? I don't really want to put it through a bunch of effects, and my budget is rather limited. (double digits would be nice.) So, yes or no on replacing, and any suggestions that are in budget. New amp is out of the question. ($$$)
P.S. The sound I'm looking for is sort of like the Black Keys song "Sinister Kid", or anything off of El Camino. I plan on going through a few new string types, just added Roto 88's to the list.
Thank you in advance, I've had good experiences with HR before and hope to become active once again.
