Is puresound any good?

Yes, they're very nice. But 99% of people won't hear a difference. I'd save my money for something else and buy some generic Gibralor ones.

They're not that expensive. I have replaced my snares with puresound before and thought they sounded better. I just recently got a new snare, but it's a different size than the last one and am trying to find out if puresound really is the best to replace its generic wires with, since I have nothing to compare it to really.

I'm hoping to hear if someone's tried Grover Snares and what they thought? They have straight coils instead of spiraled and are supposed to offer many performance advantages.

The best thing I could suggest is figuring out what kind of "snare" volume you want from the snares themselves. More snare wires means louder snare hit generally. Focus on buying snares that don't have any pieces of solder on the bottom poking out that could damage your head. That's my suggestion.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that the coiled snares make your snare hits more articulate if you're ghost noting alot, or tapping lightly (in other words).

Is puresound any good?

Puresound is VERY good. As stated before, you won't hear much of a difference until you record. For live, all snare beds are pretty much the same. It's only when you are under the microscope in a good studio that you hear the difference.
