Repairs on an old Fender Bassman amp.

I'll be picking up an old Fender Bassman amp next sunday.

I'm looking at the "Overhaul kits" on vintagefenderamprepair.com does anyone have any experience with them? Looks like a great deal to me.

$175 is a bit steep, and for 1/2 watt CC resistors. But it is OK if you don't have the time and/or patience to hunt down these parts yourself from people like AES, Mojo, or 912 other suppliers. If you have time and patience; save $$$ and get metal film or 1-watt CC if the spirit moves you. The caps would be the same. For a guy with a test bench and some test equipment, this is a bad deal. For a weekend warrior, and someone with no time or patience, this is the price you pay. So there you have it.
