So I have this SL880 Pro, y'know, the old ones with multi midi zones and the ability to transpose...I like the action on it better than my newer one which does not transpose...but suddenly one key (C# one octave above middle C, if you wanna know all details) is sticking down...I don't think its off kilter and I've taken it all apart to check it out (keybed removed, PCB board removed etc etc) and it doesn't seem to be having friction issues with the weight fork.

I'd like to take it out completely to make sure it's not schmootzed somewhere under there but I can't figger out how and although I'm pretty bold at DIY I don't wanna break something permanently. It looks like they may just snap out with some special tool but I'll ask here before I go and break it.

And while I'm at it....anybody know of a source for parts for a Yamaha GS1 baby grand

sounds like you just need to cop the key weight part... it pivots under the key itse3lf and gives it return... if pressed for time (like a gig) the just move one from way up or down on the board... it still triggers right???

Yes it fires fine...So how do I go about doing this? Seems like the weight part is fine...it moves independently and freely when the key is not depressed...only the key part seems sticky and won't return
