repairing AKG K240

A friend gave me a pair of AKG K240 headphones for free. One ear has gone out on them. I suspect that a solder connection has come loose but I can't figure out how the ear piece is supposed to come apart. Has anyone repaired these before?

If I remember correctly, there are service manuals on the AKG website. They explain all this.

Also watch out for flimsy plastic three-prong connector, could be that. Mine play up on one channel for the same reason.
