Remixed: Spank Me (for True)

Trailing Behind Again
I remixed this one now that I have a couple more clues how to screw things up.

I am only putting this one up for fun.

A couple notes:

The guitars were tracked DI through my MR-8, and I used the shitty effects sends on the unit. I wanted to see if they would do a good job. They didn't.

Yes, that's my real voice. I didn't add any effects to the track at all, except a TON of reverb. It fit the mood of the song.

Spank Me (a tribute to True on her birthday)
 
I'll listen in a little bit. A vintage KISS concert is on TV right now. :)

Kickin'....errr...spankin' ass Rokket!! :D The bass really growls out in this mix and I like the guitars better too....great sound effects...and you are so right, your vocals fit it perfect!!

It is one of my favorite songs and most well thought out birthday gifts in the world. :D :cool:

The direct guitars don't do much for me. Cool song though. Very clever. Good riff. Re-track those guitars and make it rock. :)

Thanks! I'm glad you liked the riff. I actually had the guitar D-tuned, but the horrible effects on the MR-8 gave it a really phased sound. I may try to retrack the guitars later on. Probably not. I just dug out the old files because I needed something to play with on this laptop when I get back to sea.

And as far as the voice... I may have ruined myself when I was younger trying to sing "Walk like a man", "Sherrie" or any of those other Four Seasons songs. I can stay in key when I do this. When I try to sing "normal", I'm all over the place. I know I need a vocal coach. But right now, I don't have time... :(
