Revising some past stuff. [damn learning curve] What d'ya hear that I should attend to? [prelim headphone mix/master...it's late.]
ps: I got a cue sheet sent to me by my publisher a couple days ago. I have 1:30 in a movie coming out early next year, 'Black Waters of Echo's Pond'...a horror flick.....teen girls in panties.....chain saws...blood and gore. Watch the trailers on YouTube. The stuff we saw at the drive-ins in the 70's But it's been just four years I've been recording, and I nailed my first .2% of time in a real Hollywood "B" movie. It might be a couple hundred for the license split...and at least that in royalties. That's a night's pay on a premium small-time gig. Now, all I gotta do is repeat it a couple hundred times....and I can buy a new car!
I want to inspire all you friends here to put your work in the mail...SUBMIT! There is a market for sub-par productions from bargain-bin composers with home studios like you and me. I know that about 99% of everyone here does better work than I can do....all you gotta do is send it out. Be brave.
The tune the movie producers used is "Sing About It, Instrumental". Must be the happy first five minutes...... :^)
