ok guys i took all you said and remixed this song, to me it sounds much better. i turned up the vox and added one more harmony part. i gott rid of the muddy sound i hope with a little eq. my brother chrisyian axe made a comment about removing the guitar that was playing down the middle but i did not see it until after i uploaded the song,(if youll listen again axe and let me know what you think now i realy panned the guitars much different this time and i believe it sounds good now, its gott the flanger on it and it adds character.) if you still dont like it let me know. as for the vox volume you can hear everything now much clearer.and i turned the drums up as well and added a little more punch to them. please guys let me know what ya think i hope you all like it but dont be afraid to comment because i want this one to be good because my singer is coming over and she is gonna sing the lead part i just put it in for fun for now. but id still like everything to sound good if possible. i realy appreciate the comments here guys. keep em coming and maybe i will get a good mixed song here. god bless ><> i hope you dont mind i liked your fish axe.

man i just burned this onto a cd and put it in my home stereo and the darn bass guitar sounds way luder than it does on my pc. but ill wait and see what some of you think before i change it. i do have a massive sub on my home stereo so that may be doing it because i can barely here the bass on my pc just enough to know it is there. thanks

hey flash,
I think this song has kinda lack of power - mid range seems to be cutted, and the drums are in an endless loop, and I could barely hear that nice guit solo -bring it up; how about louder/aggressiver singing?
go on with it!

hi groove, as i stated before i will not be singing the final version of this song i have a female singer with a very powerful voice and she is coming over to track the main voxs, the drums are just simply my keyboard playing the same beat over and over, i ordered my drum kit finnaly and am waiting for it so until i get it im stuck with endless grooving keyboard drums lol. actually when i eqed this mix i boosted the mids and cut the lows a little bit because they were so dominant. i tell you what ill do ill try and resing this with some authority and ill have a sore throat tommorow lol, but at least i wont have to argue with the wife lol.
i was trying to take it easy on my vocal chords so i could redo my song the one where i sing in a growly voice and it just kills my voxs when i do it but i suppose it can wait a few days lol. thanks for the comments ill repost it when done. god bless tim pate

Not bad....I'd bring that lead guitar solo up a little. I think you should do the low parts of the choruses after your friend does the main vocal. You've got a good low voice...adds a lot of good depth. I'd say the mix is at a good enough point for tracking the vocals.

sounds better.. I can hear the drums now.. those solos are still too low though.. good solos! I'd really like to hear them better.. the vocals could use some more compression to even out the levels.. you said that your scrapping these vocals and replacing them with female ones, so I won't go into them too much.. it sounds a lot better than the previous version.. the vocals aren't bad.. a few minor pitch things, but the sound of the voice is half the battle, and this sounds decent.. I always try to make the solos the same volume as the vocals.. it's not always possible, but it's a good general rule.. the drums could use a few crashes hear and there.. maybe a switch from high hat to ride in a verse or two.. cool song.. I'll check out the new female version when you post it.. make the solos louder!!!!

thanks for the listen guys, iim glad it is getting better. yes i will turn the solos up. i just tried to resing this and man i cant realy sing it any different, i strain to hard to sing it higher and now im hoarse. i also screwed up and was running my timeworks compressor offline onto the vox track and decided it was takeing to long and canceled it and sonar always comes up with a error when you do this and asks if you wanna remove timeworks compressor because it messed up which it didnt and i accidently pushed yes. its still there its just greyed out does anyone know how to get it back? if not ill ask in the cakewalk part of the forumn.ill see what i can do about the drums i know they are basic but they have perfect timing lol.my new drum kit should be here in the next few days then ill be doing it live, i ordered a pearl export double bass kit so they should rock. anyways thanks for your time guys. god bless tim pate

You Christian Rock guys crack me up!Ozzy is selling his soul for the very music you invoke the a saviors name with.Damn that's the catchiest thing I've heard all night.I'm gonna be singing "Greater works than these..." all night I know it.Good performance, but I don't get the connection.I keep my music and religion seperate. Can't listen to Deicide before worship/can't wait to slap on Morbid Angel after.Rock on Brutha!!!

thanks for the listen w.i.s.c. i appreciate the comments. i find myself singing this one alot to. i dont even realize im doing it most of the time lol. my wonderful talented singer wrote this fully on the piano and she asked me if id heavy it up a bit for her,so i did. we done this song live a few times and everyone seems to like it alot.shes gonna come over and do the final take on the vox on it. shes gott a awesome voice and the end result will be great. thanks again for the listen and the compliments. keep rockin god bless tim pate

Yep, sounds better Bro. As everyone has said. Bring the leads up.

Can't wait to hear the lady sing it.

Hey Flash,
Nice tune man. I agree w/ the compression comment. Puttin some on those vocs will sit them back in the mix a little better. I didnt hear the first mix, so I cant compare......but nice work.
