Hi Rick. Nice sound. I think this one's getting the best vocal sonority I've heard from the several mp3's you've posted. ...I'd guess you're focusing here more on the vocal sound than the guitar?? ...because the gtr playing in this one isn't quite as suave as your usual stuff
I know you use separate mic's on your voice and the guitar, but do you usually track them in a single take?
Yes, I like doing it that way. Actually I don't play this song much, but I really like it alot. my voice is a bit weak though on this. I tried some tweaks with compression, but didn't notice any difference at all in the sound, so I don't know.

my first impression is that the vocal has a slight nasal quality. I can't put my finger on it but... like you're in a closet. Maybe it's the reverb. Consider rolling off the reverb low end some and add about 30ms predelay. Maybe this will clean it up some.
