Okay so I'm about to throw down a big chunk of $ for CW v9 & so tell me straight: how reliable is it? I cant afford to lose money (or time for that matter) on software that will keep crashing. How is it as far as using CPU resources? I've read alot of mixed reviews so what'll it be?

:)
BTW, Im running an Athlon 1.3, w/ 384mb RAM & 40gb HD and WINXP. My CPU will not be dedicated solely to recording.

I Am very happy with mine.

I have A p2 1ghz, 60gig hd, win98, 256 ram, layla 24/96, I run the internet on it as well. Once you get the bugs out and learn what you can and can not do it is very stable, at least for me.
I can record 8 tracks at a time while playing back several. And I can record 2 or three tracks while playing back about 40 to 60 tracks.

I purchased pro suite 9.0, the bundle with the effects/processors.

any more questions? let me know.

You'll be OK - CW 9 is a stable as Saddam Hussein :)

I have an 800 MZ, Pent lll, Delta 66, 384 MB Ram, 2 40 Gig drives and used PA 9 for several months. I never had a problem with it. If the price is right, go for it.
Looks like your machine can handle it and more.

Good luck.

YAAA

It is a good program. The price is right. I don't think you will be sorry. It is not the slickest looking interface, but remember all of the cool looking graphics are just a drag on your system.

Make sure you have a good graphics card. It ties in big time.

I would be carefull rinnig a bunch of games on the same p.c., They always seem to screw everything up.
