I have started to play a bit reggae now and im wondering about the efx that are commonly used in reggae. I have a vox wah pedal and I use the reverb on the amp, anyone know any cool reggae efx I should check out? some echo pedals or smething??

Be careful of long echo & verb in reggae - it can put your rhythm out & clutter the kachink.

I agree, reverb will muddy it up. Personal preference is a thin, bright rhythm and a strat lead with a little wah now and then. Lately I've been using the mandola patch on my Variax acoustic for rhythm....a very cool sound.

some slight flanging can also do the trick on some reggae tracks.

It also depends on who's guitar style you want to emulate. Of the obvious ones Bob, Peter, Jr Marvin etc etc.
Bob got to be a one stroke player - chink, Peter Tosh - having played lead a fair bit played - chinka. Jr being sometime lead player with Bob & Peter as well as the man behind Police & Thieves could do all ways but was famous for chinka - chin in P&T.
It depends on the space between the strokes & whether you plan up or downstrokes for that matter.
Record a few bars of reggae bass & drum backing & then play/record to it with delay, then verb then glange in any all reggae rhythm guitar styles you can do & play it back listen for the sound you want but effected so that it DOESN'T clutter that magic rhythm.
Enjoy
