i have some confusion completely regarding reflective surface and sound proofing....... i generally feel that having reflective surface gonna get us less sound isolation.. is it true?

I think that it is acctually oposite of what you are thinking. Although I am new at this and could be very wrong.

Sound treatment and sound proofing are two completely different things. Having reflective surfaces can make things sound louder in the room but it really has little do with the sound proofing of the room.
