Hey guys, I dont have too much experience with recording, but I just bought a POD 2.O, and I was just wondering the best way to record from it. Should I just use the Headphone Jack? I want to get the sweet stereo sound that the headphones have, and just wondering if that will be alright. Anyways, if my question sounds stupid, just remember that I know little or nothing about recording, so be easy on me....
Thanks

No, you use the line outs on the rear of the POD. The one on the left is the left channel and the one on the right is the right channel.

Slackmaster 2000

Monitor it through the recorder.

Hook it up like Slackmaster said and monitor it through the output of the recorder or computer. The head phone jack will not represent what is going to tape. THere are other componants in your chain that will effect the sound. Use your headphone in the spot you will be listening after you have recorded, then make adjustments to tone......

When your done you can bet your closer to the sound your looking for.

Most importantly ditch the headphones and use monitors. The sound you get out of the headphones will sound very different then when other people listen on their home/car stereos.

This applies to EQ and mixing levels.
