i have a comp mic that i want to record something with on cubase its connected via usb, how can i get it to record it doesnt seem to work and im nub, thanks

You need to switch the driver in Cubase to use the same driver as the sound card that the mic shows up under. Then you need to setup your I/O in Cubase to match it and make sure that the mic input is enabled in whatever sound card system that mic uses (probably through the sounds and multimedia section of windows in the control panel). If you are using some sort of pro sound card that the mic does not run through, you could run the line out of your other soundcard into the line in of your pro card.

if its connected solely via USB (not to your sound card) and doesnt have a full duplex driver, you're SOL.

it is connected solely usb, how do i know if its full duplex driver and if it is what do i do to get it working with cubase?

When you talk into your mic, have you ever been able to hear it in your speakers or anything?
