hey i recorded a song with a pre-made beat but for some reason everytime i say a word with a "P" or an "S" it like lisps. and also if i sing to close to the mic it sounds extremely fuzzy is this becuz i am using a dynamic mic to record vocals ? and i am also running the mic straight into the computer

make sure the signal isn't clipping. that's what it seems like based on your description. try turning down the gain a bit and don't sing so close to the mic. and get a pop filter, that might help also.

back off from the mic. I'm betting you have your lips right against it. Try singing and holding your hand in front of your mouth - feel all the air pressure when you p and s? The mic feels it too! It's not made to feel those things well...try using a pop filter or at LEAST a windscreen - no budget? Grab a female friends old pantyhose and use a wire hanget to make a circle you can stretch the pantyhose over...that's all that most 'official' pop filter's are anyway...if you have the money get a real filter that's made of a metal mesh (look at Studio Projects website for an example) Hope this helps,

Jacob

I'd rather use knee-highs myself. Or better yet, new ones.
