I recorded a live session of my band using 4 tracks. How do I transfer the tracks to my PC? Should I mix the tracks down before the PC or using PC software? What connections do I need? I have a 424MKII and a Turtle beach soundcard. Any help would be great.

All you do is connect the line output on your 424 to the line in on the back of your soundcard. Then make sure the Line In isn't muted on your computer, hit record on your computer program, and play whatever track you want to transfer. You should get a good mix before you transfer because most computer programs aren't very good for that, but wait to mix down until you edit it on your computer. You can take out the hisses and pops from the tape with a program called GoldWave (www.goldwave.com). That program can do wonders to make it sound nice and professional. Good Luck!
