Recording to CD

[Nasty Critter]

I'm using media player when I transfer, but it says it does'nt recognize the format. I get a signal on the disc, but doesn't play. Could someone take me step by step, and clue me on the format.
I have EZ CD creator too, so it doesn't have to be MP.
