Im completely new to recording, and would like some genral hints of how to emphazise my rap lyrics using cool edit pro. All advice or links welcome :).

 Yea, but ive been readin round forums, and emcees talk bout recordin 2 tracks of vocals, and then a third jus recordin individual punches. Some even suggest recordin individual lines, and then punchin them in n out of 1 another, which to me, seems to enialate the whole concept of flow

No, see its all in emphasis, what makes rap rap.

What I do is record my main vocals with the exact way I'd do it if I were to perform live.

Then, double up on just the main parts I wanna emphasize (example: last part of each line), then i put them on a seperate track, lower the vol to the point where it is just noticable, and boom, got yourself a quality vocal track. Hope this help ease your worries about killing skills and whatnot.

aight cheaz 2, appreciated. I'ma try it out, n prob post up the track on soundclick. cheaz 4 the responses. pz
