Can anyone recommend any recording software for an older CPU (pentium 1, 120 mhz)? it doesn't have to be anything too special, just something to lay day a few tracks. Id buy a better CPU to handle cakewalk but Im on a tight budget. im sure most can relate.

Cool Edit 96 worked great. CW 6 worked now and then on a P90. Goldwave was alright. Powertracks Pro as well.
It will really depend on your HD subsystem. Get hold of the Echo Reporter and see how many KB your disc can move per second in an audio recording simulation.
