This is more of advice than a question.

If you are a singer, you have to sing into the recording microphone differently than you would just jamming in your bedroom. Be conscious of your pops (b's and p's, etc) because, despite the pop filter, some will get through. Thats just general advice.

Past that, for really soft vocals, whether your doing eerie, or sad, or whatever, get reaaaallly close to the mic, it'll pick up all the details. Maybe an inch or two away, pop filter recommended but optional if you have great control.

Sing softly, be conscious of your volume so you don't have to compress the hell out of it, and you should have a damn good vocal track.

This is obvious to some people, but i was so surprised when I just recorded vocals through an SM58 at only an inch away and, without any processing, got a completely professional, crystal clear sound. I only filtered out some low frequencies after that, and i did end up adding minor compression but I didn't have to limit it at all. Of course, its not often when you record almost whispered vocals...

Mic technique is essential guys, don't ever forget it.
