recording school vs. internship

Anyone out there have any thoughts about recording schools? The good the bad or the ugly. Is education more or less important than expierence? I live in Nashville TN, and am thinking of going to SAE Institute. Anyone familiar with them?

Do both at the same time

Seriously, an internship will more often than not get you more in less than a school. Plus it helps you network with industry people. Just because you go to school doesn't mean your cutout for this kinda work. An internship can weed those incapable of audio engineering. Once your done with a school you still have to intern and hope the attitude that developes during school doesn't kill your future.
