I apologize if this is not right on topic with what is usually discussed here, but I am getting desperate! I spent a ton of money getting a Satellite Radio hookup in my house, and have realized that I need to be able to record it if I am going to be able to listen to the content I bought it for. I have a boombox from JVC (full details here) and an iMic from Griffin Technology (full details here). The goal is to record the audio into my Macintosh using Audio Hijack (software details here). The problem is, I can't get the audio to play through my Macintosh speakers. I am using the "AUX" input on the radio, and I have it connected through a standard stereo patch cable to the iMic, which is then connected to the Mac via USB. I have recently learned that the "AUX" input on the radio allows you to play content from other sources through the speakers on the Boombox; which leads me to believe the signal might be going the wrong way and that I can't record from that input. Should it work through the "Phones" input instead? Has anyone tried a similar setup? I know this is an unusual procedure, but I am desperate for some assistance and online forums are the only place I am going to find it, so I thought I would give this one a try. Any and all responses are appreciated!

it sounds like you might do what you suggested yourself. the signal has to get out of the radio somehow. if there is no designated 'line out' outputs, using the headphone socket will be fine, but you may need to watch the level in case it is too hot for what you are sending it to.
