rats - a whole bunch more soundclick songs! None of them are loading for me right now. Maybe their servers are too busy.

You guys must sound great live!

I listened to several of the songs. Lots of energy there!

Mixwise, a great thing you could do to fill out the sound is to send the guitar through a delay of 20-30 milliseconds and bring the return back as another signal to mix in. Now you have two guitar players! Pan one toward the left (not necessarily all the way) and one toward the right. Presto, fuller sound.

This trick won't completely compensate for the "thinness" that sets in as soon as the guitarist starts playing single notes instead of chords. (I was in a trio and we had the same problem.) Perhaps the guitarist (you?) could include a couple more strings even in the noted sections? Something to consider.

Anyway, the drums were well played and up front, the bass was in there OK. I might have tried mixing it with the vocals a little quieter. Otherwise, bravo!

Hey thanks. Actually I'm the drummer; DI bass is really hard to get to sit in a mix. It seems like you have to overcompress it to make it sound good, which IMO seems counterproductive. The guitar delay does sound like a good idea, though he does do single notes a lot.

ANyway, last rehearsal we actually sat down and worked on two serious recordings, vocal overdubs and all. I worked on the mixes a lot more then the last ones, think I got the bass to sit right (Ferox Tape Sim works great here!).
