Recording real audio file

Here's the deal, I open Cool Edit Pro, I open a real audio I downloaded, I click record on CE then click play. It will play and record andplay for about 10 seconds then it will quit playng but continue to record silence. I also try to record the file with Cakewalk but the same thing happens. Whats the deal with real audio?

That's kind of hard to do with one sound card, isn't it, unless you know how to use a patch cord? Don't blame RealAudio...

Dragon, thanks for your reply. Why do you think that it would record the first fifteen seconds?And secondly, I can play a wave file and record with Cooledit at the same time. It just won't finish recording the real audio file.
