When I record a track in Audition,
and I un-arm the first one and arm the second one,
I hit record and it automatically plays the first track
while I'm recording so I can keep time, which is what I need.

But, when I'm done recording my second track, and I play them,
it adds all of this unneeded noise and stuff, making it louder,
and there are no effects on or anything.

Now, I thought it was just because the mic was picking up
the song coming through the speakers while I was recording,
so I plugged in headphones to my computer so the sound
wouldn't play through the speakers, but it still did what it was doing before.

When I mute the first track though, it records it fine,
but I'm always off time because I can't hear it.

Sooo, I can't add extra tracks
because when it plays the first track for me to keep in time,
it adds all of this noise and extra volume.

Can you post an example of the noise?
