Recording problems with software

I want to be able to use my webcam software to capture video and tell my webcam software to capture the sound I play on the Tascam us-1800.

Thats simple enough to understand! problem is with the tascam there is no System mix, or What you hear option for this to happen it just shows line in.

So question now is! how do i do this..

Loop the Tascam's output back to the line input that the webcam software sees. Just turn off the Tascam's input monitoring to prevent feedback.

Or...

Play the audio over speakers and capture it on the webcam's mic, then using that as a guide replace it in a video editor with the original audio. For longer takes you may need to cut the video to keep it in sync with the audio.

Im glad you understand what i am talking about its a shame the Tascam hasnt got a WHAT YOU HEAR facility like the Sounblaster has.

You said Turn off the Tascam input monitoring is hat the MIX dial on the front?


Heres what i got setup at the moment I have my Tannoy Reveals setup their pre-amped, and they are currently connected to the Monitor ports at the back. So whats the different between the Monitor ports and Bus 1 - lineout 1-2 // Bus 2 - 3-4
