Recording Piano

Not bad at all. The piano does need a tuning but the whole sound works for the piece. I've been listening to the Spoon CD Killing the Moonlight and they use a lot of raw sounding piano. I don't know what they are doing but my guess it's a miked upright. Might be worth checking out to get some ideas.

Your best bet with any recording is to get a lot of space around the instrument. Sometimes a close reflective surface can work but it's good if you can move stuff around and experiment. The first thing to do if you are really interested in getting some good piano tracks is to get it tuned.

Hey A1. I like your writing sensibilities. The way you held on that note in the beginning is stuff i really enjoy. I hope this turns out to your satisfaction.
