Recording: part II

Well I had another go recording, this time with an additional condensor mic placed behind me, looking down on the kit. The snare has definatly improved and the overall sound is a lot more 'in your face'.

EQ-wise I raised the lows in the kick to make it a little more beefy, I also raised the highs on the snare for a little brighter crack. I put a touch of reverb on the overhead mic and also a tinsy bit on the snare.

What do you lot think? better/worse?

Yeah much better. Snare sounds good now.

The next trick is to keep it sounding good with a bunch of guitars, bass and vocals muddying things up on you
